Back to my life in South Africa

Grandma and Grandpa arrived
Since we are back in Hout Bay - Cape Town I have been busy with unpacking, seeing my friends and preparing for SCHOOL!!!!!! I did not spend my time only with my friends, but also with my family -  grandma and grandma came from Holland and will stay for 3 months. They could not go into their own apartment so they are living with us.

Tapas
The Kreefts had organised a Sangria and Tapa Friday night for all the followers of our journey to catch up.  Let me first explain what a "Tapa" is; a wide variety of appetizers, snacks, finger food that originated in Spain. All nice little plates of food we eat in Spain and wrote down to make at home. Well our Tapas were olives, prawns, paella, bread, ham, meat, spinach with humus and tortillas. It was a fun night seeing the people we hadn't seen for a long time!

The Cobra
The next hot day I went with my friends to a Theme Park in Cape Town. It was soo busy, that it was not funny anymore standing in the 10-85 minute with the boiling hot sun shining on you and while waiting every 5 minutes putting sun cream on...... despite all that we did have much fun leaving the most scariest ride ever "THE COBRA" for last!

DESSERT!!
On the 14th it was Steven's birthday and he turned 13. He invited 5 friends over to play soccer and swim.We put on some loud music and made hot dogs and drinks and it ended up as a fun party. BUT the biggest surprise, the biggest surprise was that he went to cut off his hair that he had been growing for a whole year without going to a hair dresser.

So the photo on the right with his friends is the last one you will see from Steven on this blog with long hair. From now on...it is.....Steven with short hair!! After the hairdresser cut off his hair he saved it to send it to the Cancer Association to make it into a wig. One of his teacher in school did it and he thought it was a very good idea.

After the hair dresser Steven opened his presents and got brand new school shoes, FC Barcelona bed cover with a Barcelona file for school and he got a beautiful  BICYCLE!!!! We had pizza and pasta with a delicious dessert at the end!

covering books

Eventually we prepared for school and we bought all our stationery and books for school and covered them with paper that Oma and Opa brought all the way from Holland. The day before school started I went to get my uniform, shoes, sport clothes and blazer.
